A chap came into our shop and said that a good crusty cob is hard to find, but yours are the best I have ever had. That's a nice compliment. We pride ourselves on our crustys. They do take some extra work and attention but the result is rewarding.
Hand made natural white bread. Made with flour water yeast and salt. Real bread made with care and twice fermented for a better flavour. Some of our white breads take up to 9 hours to make.
We make our soft floury baps in stages. Dough, scale, mould, rest, shape, prove and bake. This process takes about 2 hours. Well worth the wait. The baps contain milk and butter and sugar.
Granary is a rich malty bread with grains. The flour is milled by Hovis but every baker puts their own individual stamp on the finished product. Always a favourite and always good with butter and marmalade.
Rustic Wholemeal Bread. Made with 100% of the flour milled. Nothing added nothing taken away. We don't add anything to our breads so there is nothing to worry about. Simply good for you.
Fantastic bread. Could the sliced bread, being put in non recyclable plastic bags, be changed to paper bags with a cellophane front? Save the planet!
